Rhondda’s budding stars encouraged to give rugby camp a try

20 April 2015

Rhondda Schools Rugby is encouraging young people to get involved in its rugby camp.

Children aged between 6 and 12 years old can get quality accredited coaching at the camp, which will take place at Ysgol Gyfun Cymer Rhondda’s rugby field on Wednesday 27th May.

Lewis Crabbe, Rhondda Schools Rugby development officer, said: “After completing a sports studies degree, I was offered a job coaching in Rhondda Primary Schools. Growing up, I always loved rugby so it’s great to be able to work on such a great initiative, offering the opportunity for young people to get involved in the sport.

“We aim to provide fun and engaging camps which also offer the youngsters the chance to meet new friends, learn about teamwork and social skills whilst developing their rugby skills.”

The camp will run from 9:30 am until 3:00pm and costs £20.
