25 March 2015

Rhondda residents looking to travel over the Easter period are alerted to changes to service public transport patterns.

Traveline Cymru is urging those looking to get out and about during the Easter period to use its free transport information service to keep abreast of the latest changes.

Stagecoach has already advised that the school holiday Friday service will be running on Friday 3rd April and Sunday services will run on Monday 6th  April.

Laura Thomas, Marketing Officer at Traveline Cymru, said: “During the Easter period, whether travelling by train, bus or car, people all over the country will be wanting to be out and about visiting friends and family, as well as enjoying all that Wales has to offer.

“Public transport services will be subject to change over the Easter period. Our suite of services are regularly updated with the latest travel information so we’re urging people to check them before traveling.

“We have a number of ways people can access travel information – through our bilingual website, app, call centre and via our social media channels – so we hope to keep Wales moving over the Easter break.”

Traveline Cymru provides a ‘one-stop-shop’ for travel information in Wales. The not-for-profit company is based on a partnership between the Welsh Government, public transport operators in Wales and Welsh local authorities. It provides route and timetable information for all bus, coach and rail services in the country via a bilingual website www.traveline-cymru.info,  its call centre (0871 200 22 33) and a suite of services for mobile phone users, including a bilingual app.
