Local cancer charity Rhondda Breast Friends held their annual Spring Craft Fayre last Saturday at Trehafod Community Village Hall.
The day was a huge success with local community members being treated to tea, coffee and home made cakes on the hall’s patio in the spring sunshine.
Stall holders and local businesses were encouraged to participate by Rhondda People last week and many of these stalls included hand-made crafted items, RBF merchandise, homemade cakes and savouries as well as raffle prizes and guidance and information stalls by RBF members.
The group were also joined by GTFM presenters Mark Andrews, Gavin Powell and Dave Arthur who turned up to support Rhondda Breast Friends ahead of their joint 75 Hour Live Charity Marathon that takes place at the end of this month.
The marathon will take place to raise money for the charity as well as to celebrate the radio stations 12th year as Wales’ first full time FM Community Radio Station.
Starting at 7am on Friday 30th May and running until 10am on Monday 2nd June, three of their regular presenters will attempt to broadcast LIVE for 75 hours through-out the weekend to raise funds for RBF & GTFM.
If you would like to get involved and want further information please contact Mark Andrews at GTFM on 01443 406111.
