Researchers are calling for families of Pentre-born soldiers, killed during the Battle of Gallipoli during the First World War, to come forward.

A concert will be held on Sunday July 5th in St Peter’s Church in Pentre to commemorate the Welsh soldiers killed at the battle.

There will be performances from Treorchy Male Choir, the Parc and Dare Band, and soloist Shona Evans.

Children from Pentre in Tune, an after-school club at Pentre Primary school, will also be attending to read poems and lay poppy wreaths.
